Frequently Asked Questions

What is required to deliver an arrangement to a hospital?

For hospital deliveries, please include the full legal name of the recipient, plus hospital name, room number, and ward.

Your arrangement will be delivered to the security desk as designated by the hospital. The family is then responsible for retrieving the delivery.

Make sure your recipient will be in their room for a minimum of 48 hours after your scheduled delivery.

Arrangements delivered after a patient is discharged cannot be retrieved. They will be donated to the hospital.

Should I send flowers to a hospital for a recipient who's only staying for a short time?

Hospitals often move patients to different departments and locations. To ensure delivery, we recommend only sending flowers, plants, or gifts if the patient stays for more than two nights after your delivery is scheduled.

For hospital employee deliveries, do I need a specific location?

Yes, it is best if you provide us with a building name, department, and floor/suite number. Additionally, please provide a cell phone and department phone number. Hospitals are large and often have many buildings. Correct information will ensure your gift is delivered in a timely manner.

Are there areas of the hospital I cannot send flowers to?

Wishing Well Flowers is proud to comply with all hospital rules and regulations. Different hospitals may have different rules around delivery.

We cannot deliver to Emergency rooms, Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Neurology or anyone who has not been admitted yet. Flowers cannot be delivered to patients in surgery without an assigned room.

Where can I get the addresses and phone numbers of hospitals?

When you are placing your order our system will look up business address for you.

Feel free to call us and place your order on the phone. We have comprehensive national data on our systems and will be happy to track down the address and room numbers. (As part of our service we confirm room numbers on every order.)

Are there any flowers or plants I cannot send to a hospital?

Many hospitals have limits on the types of flowers and plants we can deliver. Particularly fragrant flowers like lilies may not be deliverable.

Can I send balloons to a hospital?

Yes, however, only mylar balloons. Latex balloons are not allowed in hospitals due to latex allergies. We offer mylar balloon bouquets or mylar balloons as add on items to products. Additionally, we offer candy and stuffed animals as add on items.
